How does Smart Daily Deals work?
Smart Betty offers great daily deals on tasty things to eat, new places
to visit, great gifts to give and exciting things to do in your area. We
are able to offer these terrific discounts because we provide
participating businesses the promotional tools to maximize the response
to their Daily Deals. Smart Betty will also donate 10% of our revenue on
every purchase that is done through our site to the charity, non-profit
or organization you choose when you register. Smart Betty’s corporate
offices are located in Mississauga, Ontario but our franchisees work in
local communities throughout Canada and the United States to offer these
great local deals.
How can I take advantage of the Smart Daily Deal?
Once you have signed up and have a Smart Betty account (account registration here: http://smartbetty.com/index.php/auth/register; and sign-in here: http://smartbetty.com/index.php/auth/login),
all you have to do is to click on the BUY NOW button before the deal is
scheduled to end to take advantage of the deal. Your account (either
PayPal or Credit Card) will be charged and you will receive two e-mails
(one confirming payment, the other with your voucher) so you can print
your voucher and redeem your purchase.
I'm trying to buy the Smart Daily Deal but it keeps taking me back to
the Registration Page or it won't allow me to select my preferred
size/colour/model!
Before you make your Smart Betty purchase, make sure you're logged in to your Smart Betty account. You can log in here: http://smartbetty.com/index.php/auth/login. Once that's done, you'll be able to make your selection and purchase the deal!
I'm trying to buy multiple and different Smart Daily Deals at once but the site won't allow me to!
At this time, Smart Betty can only process one purchase of one type of item at a time.
Does there need to be a minimum number of vouchers sold for the Smart Daily Deal to become active?
No, there is no minimum number of purchases required for you to take advantage of the Smart Daily Deal.
I'm trying to place my order and it's asking for a CVD number - what is that?
Most credit cards now include a 3 or 4 digit verification number, which
is not part of the regular credit card number. CVD (Card Verification
Digits) seeks to ensure that the purchaser has the physical card in hand
when placing a phone, mail, or Internet order, and to verify that the
card account is legitimate. The number is not contained in the magnetic
strip information nor does it appear on the sales receipt, which is what
makes it a good security feature. The CVD number can be found on the
back of Visa and Mastercard credit cards to the right of the magnetic
strip.
How do I use the Smart Betty Voucher I have purchased?
Once your account has been charged, you will receive two e-mails from
Smart Betty - one with a payment confirmation, the other with your
voucher for your deal. Full instructions on how to redeem the Smart
Betty Deal will be on the voucher. You can also access the voucher and
this information by going to My Coupons or My Orders under your Profile
page.
Will I be charged sales tax or any additional fees when I use my Smart Daily Deal?
Most jurisdictions have differing tax laws, so it all depends on where
you use your Smart Betty Deal as to whether you are charged sales tax.
ANY additional costs to the deal will be indicated on the deal write-up,
so please read it over carefully!
Can I buy a Smart Daily Deal as a gift?
Yes, you can treat your family or friends to the great deals Smart Betty
has to offer! Simply click on the BUY AS A GIFT button and complete the
progress as usual.
Is there an expiry date for the Smart Daily Deal I have purchased?
Yes, there is generally an expiry date on the Promotional Value of the
voucher and it can be found in the fine print on the printed voucher.
However, the paid value of the voucher does NOT expire.
I can't tell if my order has gone through or not - I didn't receive an e-mail!
The payment confirmation and voucher e-mails are sent within 5 minutes
of you making your purchase. If you want to confirm that your order has
gone through, go to My Coupons or My Orders under your Profile page.
Otherwise, check your e-mail's Spam or Junk folder if it doesn't arrive

My order was placed last week and the site still says 'Ready for Shipping'! When can I expect to receive it?
The status update in your Smart Betty account is independent of the
status of your shipment with the supplier. If the merchant provides us
with a tracking number, we get that information to you and change the
status of your item to 'Shipped'. If the merchant doesn't get that
information to us, then the status remains as is, even though it may
have been shipped to you already. Please review the voucher details for
your deal in order to get an idea of the time needed for delivery.

What if the business I purchased the Smart Daily Deal from goes out of business?
If anything happens to the business you purchased the Smart Daily Deal
from before you can redeem it, we guarantee that your money will be
refunded.
I won't be able to use my voucher, can I get a refund?
The Smart Betty refund policy can be found in Section 11 in the
Conditions of Use and is also summarized on each voucher. As each deal
is different, the conditions for a refund can vary as well. Provided
that your voucher has NOT been redeemed and it’s been 30 days since
you’ve made your purchase, you may request a refund by contacting support@smartbetty.com with more information.
